Each quarter, Moxie Stylists pick a charity of their choice to contribute to. This season, we are supporting The Providence Home located in Southport, NC.

The Providence Home is an exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Your donation to our organization is tax deductible and greatly appreciated.  

​​The Providence Home: Family Emergency Teen Shelter began as an answer to the need expressed by professionals who worked with children at risk.  Providence Home was established for Brunswick County youth who did not have an emergency residential facility available to them during a time of crisis.

Providence Home is the result of the efforts of area churches, civic organizations, and volunteers.  Grant monies, donations, and fund-raisers were combined to furnish money to purchase and renovate the old Dosher House near Southport into Brunswick County’s only emergency youth shelter.

The Family Emergency Teen Shelter is a private, non-profit organization as identified by the IRS code 501C(3).  Providence home is licensed by the State of North Carolina and is a member of the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council of Brunswick County.
